Our Capabilities

Stephl Engineering LLC is an engineering consulting firm that was started by Matt Stephl in 1996. Our firm specializes in trenchless technology engineering and also provides general civil engineering services. We are proud of our ability and reputation for completing challenging projects on time. Most of our projects involve fast-track repairs of failing utilities by using the specialized equipment and techniques that are available in the trenchless industry today.

Matt Stephl, P.E. and the staff of Stephl Engineering LLC are long-term members of NASTT (North American Society for Trenchless Technology). To stay abreast of the latest repair methods, our staff routinely attend the annual NASTT No-Dig and Underground Construction Technology (UCT) trenchless conferences in the Lower 48. We are leaders in trenchless applications in Alaska and have a thorough knowledge of the local trenchless contractors and their capabilities. Our staff are certified in the PACP (Pipeline Assessment Certification Program).

In Alaska, we have worked in every part of the state for private industry clients, municipalities, smaller communities, local, state and federal agencies, oil and gas companies and the military.
